Proper tire maintenance helps ensure your tires wear evenly and last longer. Simply keeping your tires inflated to their correct pressure can prolong their life, and save you money on batteries. Because most scooter tires are thin walled, worn tires are especially susceptible to punctures.
Keeping Tires at Peak Performance Requires:
Inspecting them monthly for uneven wear or damage
Measuring tread depth regularly
Checking inflation pressure
Rotating tires regularly for better wear (in general, tires should be rotated every 250 hours)
Keeping wheels aligned
Tire maintenance, timely replacement, and correct tire selection are critical to your vehicle's safety and performance.
A tire must be replaced when the tread has worn even with the wear indicator (approx. 1.5 mm tread depth).
